3rd Generation AHSS for Automotive Application

Salzgitter Mannesmann Forschung presents the third generation of AHSS steels at Werkstoff+Auto in Stuttgart. As part of the presentation on February 21, 2024, research and development activities relating to the third generation of AHSS steels will be presented and discussed. In the presentation the CR440Y780T-FH and CR590Y980T-DH are exemplarily discussed. Particular attention will be paid to the high elongation, good formability, higher ductility during cold forming and better lightweight properties. These special properties will once again be highlighted and discussed by the speakers from the departments of material development and application technology.
