"Materials and concepts for vehicles of the future" symposium in Salzgitter on November 6 and 7, 2018

31.01.2018 | Initiative Automotive

The automotive industry and the entire supply industry is currently in an exciting phase with many questions regarding new concepts for vehicles and drives:

  • What direction is vehicle mobility heading in the overall view?
  • Which technologies and materials are involved?
  • What role is recycling playing?
  • What are the primary challenges?
  • Is lightweight construction irrelevant for electric drives?
  • How does this impact the vehicle concepts and components for automakers, suppliers, and materials developers?

The "Materials and concepts for vehicles of the future" symposium is being organized by Volkswagen AG, Salzgitter AG and ITS mobility. The focus is on new and alternative drive concepts, such as electric drives, combustion engines with natural gas, and regeneratively-produced liquid or gaseous fuels, each with its specific requirements regarding the vehicle architecture and materials.
Selected keynote talks and presentations as well as a podium discussion should promote networking and increased knowledge.

The symposium offers the opportunity to meet a wide range of experts and decision makers. Synergetic and creative projects can be spurred on the basis of the symposium's thematic focus, possibly with public support. We look forward to your participation and contributions to the presentations and discussions.
