Materials symposium in Salzgitter on November 6 and 7, 2018

Volkswagen AG, Salzgitter AG and IST mobility will be presenting the symposium "Materials and concepts for vehicles of the future" on November 6 and 7. In addition to a close look at materials, the focus is on new and alternative drive concepts, such as electric drives, combustion engines with natural gas, and regeneratively produced liquid or gaseous fuels with the specific requirements each places on the vehicle architecture and materials

The symposium offers manufacturers, developers and suppliers the possibility to exchange information on the current state of their offers with experts and decision makers in the framework of the accompanying exhibition. Selected presentations as well as a podium discussion should promote knowledge growth and networking.

Six sessions on the following topics will be offered:
•    Energy storage
•    Sustainability
•    Powertrain
•    Materials for the overall vehicle concepts with a special focus on electromobility
•    Manufacturing procedures for overall vehicle concepts
