Initiative Automotive at AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING EXPO

"Flexible multi-material use across the entire process chain" was the motto for this year's AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING EXPO held at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg on June 9th and 10th. Salzgitter AG was one of the exhibitors with its Initiative Automotive. It presented current developments and solutions in lightweight construction and exhibited premium ultra high strength flat products, cold-drawn seamless and welded precision steel tubes, tailored blanks, and solutions ranging from prototype and tool manufacture all the way to finished hydroformed components.

Visitors to the trade fair stand showed special interest in applications made of HSD^® (High Strength and Ductility) steel.

With 69 exhibitors from all around the world and more than 1,000 highly qualified visitors from the trade, the second AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING EXPO showed clearly that this unique event has established itself in the automotive industry.
