Updated material parameters CD for simulation version 2015

Whether gas cylinders, dishwashers, steel construction buildings or car fenders, today, computer-aided calculation methods are indispensable for the design of components and structures. The calculation models undergo constant optimization in order to keep up with technical progress. But no matter which software is used, perhaps the most important requirement is having the right material data. Determining such material data calls for extensive trials in test centers, and there are always new materials with special parameters being developed.

Salzgitter-Flachstahl (SZFG) and Salzgitter Mannesmann Forschung have been supporting their customers for years by providing the appropriate material data. The steel grades there, which are characterized in accordance with SEP1240, are representative of the SZFG product range. Newly revised information on the characterized material grades in the form of a data CD can be requested via the E-Mail address Werkstoffkennwerte@Salzgitter-AG.de.

The data CD contains the results of more than 50 data records on characterized steel materials from the areas of soft deep-drawing steels, microalloyed steels, dual phase steels, bainitic steels, and quenched and tempered steels.
